The QPR Saga Rolls On

It is a longtime since I have written. Harry Redknapp has gone, someone who has left me puzzled as to his behaviour in resigning just after the transfer window shut in which he did not sign anyone, coincidence or what?
To be honest even though I stuck with him as the season progressed, I was becoming baffled by his team selections, he seemed to have two different tactics away from home, either one man up or the occasional two forwards. Neither tactic produced the goods as the results sadly tell.
But the continuing defeats started to demoralised even the most hardened R's fan. The lame excuses repeated week in and week out become tiring. The crowd were becoming restless and divided as to his worth.
Clearly some players were not in the frame for selection, he had a public falling out with Taraabt, but the worst thing was his failure to bring through any of the young players. This for me was were he let us down, he always seemed too content to buy his way out of trouble, admittedly this can work. But it can also attract mercenaries looking out for their last big payday.
So the announcement of Chris Ramsey as the manager to the end of the season was a surprise. From the first game against Southampton it was clear that the team were ready to play for the new man in charge, but it was the win at Sunderland that demonstrated his ability to change things around and brake the terrible away record that the R's had run up.
Hull away was never going to be easy, but the team played well as a unit and it was only the self destructive behaviour of Joey Barton in getting himself sent off that properly tipped the game in favour of the home side.
So this brings me to the next two home games Arsenal on Wednesday 4th and Spurs Saturday 7th March, what are our chances? These two home games are the start of our remaining 12 games until the end of the season and we must play to our very best if we are to pick up any points. QPR have been away training in the warmth of the UAE and hopefully bonding and building the team spirit.
I think that we must give our best and that includes the crowd, Loftus road at night can sometimes be an intimidating stadium when the supporters get behind the team. We saw it last season in the play offs against Wigan, something like that is needed to start the tough challenge of the final run in to the seasons end. Anything is possible, the future is unwritten, let's get behind the team and at least give it our all.
