Leicester’s pre-season games have now all been completed and the real deal is about to start this Saturday at 3.00pm against Everton at home in the premier league!

City have been in good form in pre-season winning six games and drawing one, with some cracking goals to boot. We all know it’s all about fitness, but it’s always nice for your team to win and score goals.

The excitement and build up to match day is edging ever so near, fans desperate to see the Blue Army out on the King Power turf again for another enthralling season of football.

The match will be City’s first game back in the big time after a ten year absence. Talk of how City’s new signings will fair, tactics, and formations will all be answered on Saturday.

Many fans will be sorting out their fantasy football sides and looking for a few bargains. Leicester may just have one or two, with my pick being Riyad Mahrez, yet you could also chose from David Nugent, Anthony Knockaert, Danny Drinkwater and Kasper Schmeichel as being Leicester’s top point scorers.

What formation will City line up with against Everton? Pearson tends to favour 4-4-2 although last season they did line up with either 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1, so it will be interesting to see how City will start the season.

Given recent injuries to Albrighton and Knockaert where both are likely to miss the start of the season, I suspect the starters to be Schmeichel, De Laet, Morgan, Moore, Konchecky, Drinkwater, James, Mahrez, Nugent, Vardy and Ulloa in one of these formations.

However, if Albrighton or Knockaert were fit to play on Saturday then I would see Ulloa put on the bench and one of these to play instead.

Not many are expecting City to get anything out of their first five games, but even if they don’t, City fans have got to back their manager and team and roar them on to success. Good luck Saturday City!

  2. I agree Vardy is injured but I think he'll be ok to start on saturday. Pity Albrighton and Knockaert are injured as we would have a better chance of beating Everton if they played. 50/50 between Moore and Wasilewski - I picked Moore because he has more pace, no pun intended. Would be great if Cambiasso signs and 4-1-3-2 is another option for City.
