Brazil 3-1 Croatia – Oscar played the whole game, scoring the third goal for the hosts. Ramires came on for the last 2 minutes when he replaced Neymar. Willian was an unused substitute.

Spain 1-5 Netherlands – Cesar Azpilicueta played the whole game for the reigning champions who suffered a heavy defeat against the Dutch. Fernando Torres replaced Diego Costa after 62 minutes, while new signing Cesc Fabregas played the last 12 minutes when he replaced David Silva.

England 1-2 Italy – Gary Cahill played the whole game as England narrowly lost their opening Group D fixture against Italy. Frank Lampard was an unused substitute.

Germany 4-0 Portugal – Andre Schurrle replaced Mesut Ozil after 63 minutes of a one-sided contest, and played a key part in Thomas Muller’s third goal, as the Germans started in impressive fashion.

Iran 0-0 Nigeria – Jon Mikel Obi was named Man of The Match as Nigeria were held to a disappointing goalless draw by unfancied Iran. Kenneth Omeruo played the entire game, while Victor Moses was replaced after 52 minutes.

Ghana 1-2 USA – Christian Atsu played 78 minutes for The Black Stars against Jurgen Klinsmann’s USA team.

Belgium 2-1 Algeria – Thibaut Courtois played the whole game for Belgium who recovered from going a goal down to come back to win. Chelsea’s Player of The Year, Eden Hazard also played the full 90 minutes, while Romelu Lukaku was replaced after 58 minutes.
