We all met up in the pub before hand, everyone was in good spirits and discussing Saturday's game. A few of us had seen some good points in the game though the majority opinion was it was a disappointing performance and bafflement at some of players selected.

Everyone was hoping for an improved performance against Watford, but there was apprehension about how successful we will be in the play offs. The general consensus was that we have yet to prove that we can beat the teams around us, our record against the top sides has been our downfall in terms of failing to achieve an automatic play off place.

The match was disappointing in that we failed to dominate Watford and they started the better of the two sides. It was another QPR performance where we failed to impress, we soaked up the pressure in the first half. It was an all too familiar Rangers performance and the second half started again with Watford the brighter of the two sides and this led to them taking the lead with Mathias Ranegie scoring for the Hornets.

In the 75th minute Barton found his range and scored from a free kick. Finally we were back in the match and Charlie Austen scored in the 89th minute sending crowd into wild delight. The stats showed 50-50 regarding possession and QPR having the most shots on target 8 -5. It did not seem like it but they are the stats for the match.

It seemed to be a typical performance, one that we were used to in first half of the season. It means that we are now in the play offs and will have to wait to see who else qualifies with Derby County and us.

Whoever it is Rangers will need to play better then this if they are to reach and win the final. There seems to be some apprehension amongst some fans about the prospect of an immediate return to the Premiership based on our recent experience of two seasons of struggle that led to relegation last season.

Has the club learnt from that experience? Only time will tell.
