e- Football Preview: Shrewsbury v Sheffield United

Article by Sheffield United Correspondent Sam Attrap

The Blades will hope to leapfrog Shrewsbury Town on Saturday and put together their first back-to-back wins of the season.

Shrewsbury have only won once in their last six games and boss Graham Turner has described his sides hope to turn things around at home.

“We haven’t played badly at home so we have got to go into the game with confidence, if we can, and make sure we get the right result.”

Town face a Sheffield United side looking to build on resurgence in form. 7 points from a possible 9 have seen Nigel Cloughs men begin a slow climb up the table and the boss has spoken of his desire to continue recent success playing 4-4-2.

“Generally speaking I think we should with two up front. If you have two strikers up front then you’ve got a better chance.”

Clough should have a fully fit squad to pick from with Febian Brandy recovering from illness.

New signing from Leeds United, Aidy White could make his debut.

Shrewsbury Town will hope to name Luke Summerfield in their starting eleven after returning from a groin injury, leaving Graham Turner with a fully fit squad.

Predicted XI:

Long

McMahon, Maguire, Collins, White.

Flynn, Doyle, McGinn, Brandy.
