Interview with a Leeds fan...Mark Bateson

This week, in a new regular feature, e-Football Writer Connor Law caught up with Leeds fan Mark Bateson to get the lowdown on all things Leeds!

Check out The e-Football Forum for more footy chat, news and banter http://e-football.freeforums.net/

1. How long have you supported Leeds United?
All my life as far as I remember.

2. What was the first ever Leeds United game you attended?
Leeds vs Besiktas 6-0 in the Champions League

3. Favourite ever memory as a Leeds fan?
Getting promoted from League One. Lucky to have been at the game

4. Worst memory?
Losing at Wembley to Doncaster. It was a terrible game and after the season we had it felt like we'd been cheated

5. Favourite ever Leeds player?
Mark Viduka. Great goalscorer and I will always remember watching the 4-3 game with Liverpool

6. What is your view on how the season is shaping up?
After only signing 4 players I never expected us to do much, so our current position
isn't a shock. I hope we secure some investment soon or we will be mid-table for more than just this season

7. What are your views on the manager and owners?
Brian McDermott is a good manager with experience but needs backing. GFH have done a lot of positive things in terms of ticket prices, sponsors, and spending some money, need to spend more

8. Finally, when do you think we'll be back into the premier league?
Investment is key. I hope within the next 3 seasons, including 13/14

A massive thanks to Mark for taking part!
