September Serie A Player of the Month:

Ricky Alvarez (Inter Milan) - Ricky has been an influential figure in this rejuvenated Inter side. He seems to be liked alot by the fans and commentators all around Italy but most importantly by his new boss Walter Mazzarri. Playing every minute of the campaign so far he has managed to get his name on the score sheet 2 times.

Alessio Cerci (Torino F.C) - The Italian international is not to be underestimated at all due to his many caps for the national team and those rewards are showing in his talent for the Turin based side. With 5 goals already to his name this season, he managed a double over night against Hellas Verona.

Carlos Tevez (Juventus F.C) - Carlitos has made a very impressive start to his Italian debut season. With goals in the Super Cup Final as well as 3 in the league, the bianconeri will be looking for his guidance in Europe this season. A great addition to this great league.

Pepe Reina (S.S Napoli) - The Spanish goal keeper who has arrived from Liverpool to join his former boss Rafa Benitez has refound his old form thanks to a brilliant month of shot stopping. Just this week Reina will be forever remebered as the first goalkeeper to save a Mario Balotelli penalty and what a save it was. Napoli's defence is alot secure thanks to the services Pepe Reina is provioding.

Giuseppe Rossi (ACF Fiorentina) - What a come back story this is, when this time last year and the year before Rossi was in rehab thanks to a recurring knee injury at Villareal. But Fiorentina bought the striker who is looking to get back in form and make selection for the Italian world cup team and he has not dissapointed at all. Rossi is top of the goal scoring charts along with Hamsik with 4 goals and small striker doesn't look to be stopping any time soon.

The winner will be announced on Tuesday 1st October.
